Google Launches Search Console Tracking for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube & X
Google has officially added 'platform properties' to Search Console, enabling creators and publishers to monitor how their content on Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube performs in Google Search and Discover — even without owning a website. According to the Google Search Central Blog, the feature integrates into Performance reports, Insights reports, and the Achievements section, reflecting Google's growing emphasis on first-hand, multi-platform content discovery.
As confirmed by Search Engine Roundtable and Search Engine Journal, this represents a meaningful expansion of GSC's scope beyond traditional web properties. For SEOs advising clients with cross-platform presences, this consolidates visibility data that was previously scattered or invisible. Search Engine Roundtable also notes a URL trick for early adopters: appending `/ai` after `search-analytics` or `discover` in the Search Console URL forces the generative AI performance report for platform properties to appear — though this hack currently works only for platform properties, not standard site properties.
